Our History
The Pincher Creek Chamber was officially founded in 1972.  However, history records indicate that the first Chamber of Commerce may have formed as early as 1911.

In 1997 the Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Development Board merged to form the Pincher Creek & District Chamber of Economic Development. 

In 2009 the Pincher Creek & District Chamber of Economic Development became the Pincher Creek & District Chamber of Commerce.

• Centralized point of delivery for administration of community and Chamber activities
• Provide and operate the Travel Alberta Accredited Visitor Information Centre
• Promote Pincher Creek both for business and tourism
• Produce a monthly newsletter
• Sponsor Spirit of the Gathering Award
• Host Town & Country Business Awards
• Hosted the Economic Development Association Spring Educational Seminar
• Host the Town & Country Trade Fair
• Host the Pancake Breakfast in partnership with the Town and M.D.
• Step into Christmas, Parade of Lights and Moonlight Madness
• Assist Pincher Planters to maintain flower baskets
• Host the Ag Parade for the Fair & Rodeo
• Assist Ag Society selling the Gathering ticket sales
• Hosted Australian Farm Tour
• Hosted Beef Rally
• Hosted Canadian Wind Energy Conference
• Host Municipal, Provincial and Federal forums
