The Pincher Creek Chamber was officially founded in 1972. However, history records indicate that the first Chamber of Commerce may have formed as early as 1911. In 1997 the Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Development Board merged to form the Pincher Creek & District Chamber of Economic Development. In 2009 the Pincher Creek & District Chamber of Economic Development became the Pincher Creek & District Chamber of Commerce.
